Cass Forest Products has recently been acquired by Sand Creek Post & Beam, which does business under the name Timberlyne Group. This acquisition includes Cass Forest Products’ division Aitkin Hardwoods, which will retain its trade name and continue to do business as Aitkin Hardwoods. Cass Forest Products will now be known as Timberlyne Wood Products.
Headquartered in Wayne, Nebraska, Timberlyne Group designs and manufactures custom wood barns, timber homes, and commercial structures. This acquisition will add a second sawmill operation to the company, uniquely preparing them to serve their customers by ensuring both the quality and reliable supply of the timbers used in their structures.
Cass Forest Products began in 1985 and has served the home building industry for 37 years, earning a reputation for kiln-dried quality wood and high safety standards. Long-time owner of Cass Forest Products (and co-founder of H2WMA), Dave Goetz, is excited for the change. “I’m happy that I get to pass my company off to an organization that shares the same interests,” he says.
Co-founder of Timberlyne Group and Chairman of the Board, Len Dickinson, noted, “Cass Forest Products has been one of our main sources of high-quality timbers for many years, so making it part of the Timberlyne Group family seems like the perfect fit. This will allow us to better meet our customers’ needs by significantly increasing our capacity, and to grow well into the future.”
