Developing Leaders Benefits Your Bottom Line
Dr. Kelly La Venture, assistant professor at Bemidji State University (BSU) and co-author of The Human Factor to Profitability, Building a People-Centered Culture for Long-Term Success, will share insight into how encouraging employees to be active participants in the culture and climate of their organization can positively impact that organization’s bottom line. In addition, Jeremy Leffelman, executive director of the Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence at BSU, will share information on some of the technical training programs and development opportunities for those working in the manufacturing industry. Lyle Meulebroeck, associate professor and chairman of the School of Technology, Art & Design (TAD), will provide an overview of TAD online degrees, and Dean Dr. James Barta of BSU will address the group as well.
Utilizing The EOS® Process To Encourage Company Growth
The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a set of simple concepts and practical tools that has helped thousands of business owners improve their company vision, accountability, discipline and focus. It can also be very beneficial when developing a functional leadership team. Cory Melland, president of PS DOORS, a successful manufacturer in Grand Forks, North Dakota, will share how his company is implementing the EOS process into their business and the success they have experienced as a result.

Campus Parking
- Meeting attendees will be able to park in the Bangsberg lot free of charge from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. This is restricted to the Bangsberg lot only, and attendees will not need a special permit. Please look for appropriate signage.
- BSU will provide shuttle service from the Bangsberg lot to the meeting location at Bridgeman Hall. Shuttle service will begin at 10:30 am with return shuttle service until 1:30 pm.
- A BSU student worker will be coordinating the shuttle service.
