Member News: Star Tribune Names Central Boiler Companies A 2021 Top 175 Workplace

Central Boiler Companies has been named one of the Top 175 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. A complete list of those selected is available at www.startribune.com/mn-top-workplaces/ and was also published in the Star Tribune Top Workplaces special section on Sunday, June 20.

Central Boiler Companies ranked 29 on the midsize company list. Only 6% of companies that applied received this recognition.

“Central Boiler provides many people in our area with not just a job, but a career. They care about their employees like family and invest in their safety, health and professional development. So it is not surprise that they were ranked so highly in this competition,” Matt Schaumburg, Production Manager.

Central Boiler employees provided a long list of benefits of working for Central Boiler, including their commitment to employee safety and health, and the profit sharing bonus and 401K match. 2020 marked the twenty-eighth consecutive year the company distributed a bonus. The 2020 bonus, along with Central Boiler’s contributions to the employee 401K accounts, totaled over $825,000.00.

Star Tribune Publisher Michael J. Klingensmith said, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top 175 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”

Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. The analysis included responses from over 76,000 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.
